Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi Pad 2 in India, expanding its tablet lineup with a feature-rich device aimed at both entertainment and productivity users. With a sleek design and an emphasis on modern software and hardware integration, the Redmi Pad 2 introduces several firsts to the Indian tablet market, including native support for Google’s Circle to Search feature.
Redmi Pad 2 Pricing and Availability
Available in blue and grey, the Redmi Pad 2 is priced at ₹13,999 for the 4GB + 128GB Wi-Fi model, ₹15,999 for the 6GB + 128GB Wi-Fi + 4G variant, and ₹17,999 for the 8GB + 256GB model. Sales begin from June 24 via Mi.com, Amazon India, and offline retailers.
Redmi Pad 2 Specifications and features
The Redmi Pad 2 sports an 11-inch 2.5K LCD display (2560x1600 pixels), offering a 90Hz refresh rate and 600 nits of peak brightness. With support for 10-bit colour depth and TÜV Rheinland eye protection, the display ensures vivid visuals and reduced eye strain. Additionally, its wet-touch technology allows seamless touchscreen responsiveness even when fingers are damp, making it more user-friendly in everyday situations.

Powering the device is the MediaTek Helio G100-Ultra, a 6nm octa-core processor optimized for smooth multitasking and gaming. Users can choose between 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and storage options of up to 256GB UFS 2.2, expandable via microSD. It runs on HyperOS 2.0, Xiaomi’s new Android 15-based operating system that brings a clean UI, enhanced performance, and tighter integration with Google’s AI tools, including Gemini AI.
A key software highlight is the pre-installed Circle to Search feature. With a simple gesture, users can search for anything visible on-screen, making the Redmi Pad 2 the first tablet in India to ship with this functionality.
In terms of optics, the tablet has an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera, suitable for online classes, video calls, and basic photography. For audio, the device features quad speakers tuned with Dolby Atmos, promising rich and immersive sound.
Powering the tablet is a 9,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging via USB Type-C, ensuring prolonged usage with quick top-ups. It also supports 4G LTE (on select models), dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and various sensors, including an accelerometer and hall sensor.
