Vivo X Fold3 Pro: Brand’s First Foldable Debuts in India

Vivo has finally launched its highly anticipated folding phone, Vivo X Fold3 Pro in India. The device is the slimmest and lightest in its segment and it is the brand’s first-ever folding phone in the country. 

Vivo X Fold3 Pro: Build and Design

The build is just like many other folding phones on the market. It is a book-style foldable smartphone. However, the brand has used a carbon fibre hinge, a first-of-its-kind invention in the folding phones segment. The hinge weighs just 14.98 grams but is durable for up to 500,000 folds as per the brand. The phone gets Vivo’s custom Armour Glass protection on the inner display as well as the back panel. The device also has an IP X8 water-resistant rating, like the rest of the foldables in the market this also has no dust resistance. One of the main highlights of the device is its slim and lightweight build, the device weighs just 236 grams and is 11.2 mm thin when folded.

The device gets an 8.03-inch 2K Samsung E7 AMOLED 8T LTPO display with a 120hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 4500 nits. The outer screen is a 6.53-inch 1.5K BOE Q9+ OLED panel with 120hz refresh rate. 

Vivo X Fold3 Pro: Performance

Powering the Vivo X Fold3 Pro is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. The device gets 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. The device has a battery capacity of 5700mAh and supports 100W of fast wired charging via its USB-C 3.2 port and it also has 50W of wireless charging support.

Vivo X Fold3 Pro: Cameras

The smartphone is equipped with a very versatile set of cameras. It has a triple camera setup at the rear in a circular module with ZEISS branding, and the main rear camera is a 50MP unit with f/1.68 aperture and OIS support, the second unit is 64MP telephoto lens with 3X optical zoom capability and another 50MP sensor as an ultrawide unit. At the front, the device has a 32MP sensor on the outer screen and another 32MP unit on the inner screen for seamless video chatting and selfie experience.

Vivo X Fold3 Pro: Software, Pricing and Availability

The device gets Android 14-based, fold-specific Funtouch OS 14 and it also has integrated Google Gemini Pro and Chirp 2.0 for better software experience. Brand has promised to provide 3 years of Android updates and 4 years of security updates.

The device is available in only one configuration for Rs 1,59,999 and will go on sale on June 13, 2024, on Flipkart. There also are some bank and exchange offers to bring the pricing down.
