Vivo has launched its new smartphone, the Vivo V50e, in India. It’s part of Vivo’s V-series and is aimed at users looking for a slim phone with good performance and camera features. The phone is 7.39mm thick and has a 5,600mAh battery, which is large for such a slim device.

Price, Sale Date, and Offers

The Vivo V50e comes in two versions:

Rs 28,999 for 8GB RAM + 128GB storage

Rs 30,999 for 8GB RAM + 256GB storage

It will be sold in Pearl White and Sapphire Blue colours. Sales start from April 17, and it will be available on Vivo’s website, Flipkart, Amazon, and in stores.

Some offers are available at launch. Buyers using HDFC or SBI cards can get a 10% discount. There are exchange bonuses, no-cost EMI options, and a special Rs 1,499 price for Vivo TWS earbuds. Vivo is also offering discounts on its screen protection plan. In stores, buyers can get cashback, buyback offers, and OTT subscriptions with some Jio plans.

Specifications and Features

The phone has a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It uses a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor with 8GB RAM, and it also supports 8GB of virtual RAM for better multitasking.

The 5,600mAh battery supports 90W fast charging. Vivo says the battery will stay healthy even after years of use.

The main camera on the back is 50MP and uses a Sony sensor with OIS for better photos in low light. It also has an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The front camera is 50MP with a wide-angle lens, useful for group selfies. Both front and rear cameras can record in 4K, and there are extra modes like slow motion and dual view. There are also some India-specific camera features.

The phone has IP68 and IP69 ratings, meaning it is resistant to dust and water. It includes an Underwater Photography mode and has a stronger screen glass.

The V50e runs on FunTouch OS 15 based on Android 15. Vivo promises three years of Android updates and four years of security updates. It also includes some AI tools like text summarisation, photo editing, live translation, and faster network switching. The phone includes Gemini AI for basic tasks and voice assistance.
