Vivo has unveiled the new camera-centric 5G smartphone with a curved display, the V30e. The phone belongs to the V series. Given its striking resemblance to the V30, Vivo is poised to pose a formidable challenge to the Realme 12 Pro Plus, Nothing 2a, and Moto Edge 50 Pro.

The product comes in attractive colors and strong specifications. The device comes with a 50 MP front-facing camera, which is a major upgrade over the Vivo V29e. Although both devices looks the same on paper, the new generation is now capable of recording 4K video. Despite the abundance of options in the midrange segment, many products appear robust on the surface but lack substance. Some smartphones in this price range come with a periscope camera, a high-resolution front camera, or an ultrawide camera, but in reality, only a few products deliver quality.

Specifications:

Build and finish: The Vivo V30e looks lavish; the velvet red colour looks absolutely stunning and unique. However, if you are looking for something regular, you can pick a silk blue colour. The circular camera design looks similar to the Vivo V30. The phone is only 179 grams and 7.69mm thick. The reason behind the light weight of the phone is its plastic frame. The phone is not very robust but if sturdy, but If you don’t need a phone for a battlefield, you can still go for it. The device has IP64 rating for dust and water protection.

Battery, Software, and Performance: This phone is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, which is an Octa-Core chipset with a 2.2GHz primary clock speed. Vivo has provided only two storage options: 128GB and 256GB. Both models are clubbed with 8GB of RAM. 2.2GHz processors can handle all the daily tasks like social media, video conferencing, calls, galleries, casual gaming, camera usage, etc., but don’t expect heavy performance with this processor. It has Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14, and it comes with a Google Stock dialer by default. Vivo has provided all the important navigation sensors including GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, and NavIC.

The phone also comes with a massive 5500mAh battery capacity and 44W fast charging.

Display: This is the most attractive part of this phone. It comes with a 6.78-inch full HD curved AMOLED display. The display is sharp, and it has support for HDR videos, but it cannot play 4K at 60 fps videos on YouTube because of low processing power.

Camera: The V series is well known for its camera performance, and the Vivo V30e also comes with strong camera features. The main camera is 50MP (Sony IMX 882), which can shoot 4K videos at 30 frames per second, and the other camera is an 8MP ultrawide angle with a 120-degree field.

On the front, we get an impressive 50MP camera with an 84-degree FOV. You can also shoot 4K videos from front cameras. I want to appreciate Vivo for not giving useless 2MP cameras.

The device has an aura light feature that allows you to switch the lens tone between ‘Warm’ and ‘Cool’. It can also shoot clear images under blue light or club lighting with the help of an aura light.

The rear camera has OIS to shoot stable videos.
