Is The Vivo T4x 5G Just Another Budget Phone With A Huge Battery?

Vivo is all set to launch yet another budget-centric performance device called the T4x 5G. The brand says the phone will launch on March 5, 2025 and its availability has been confirmed on Flipkart, Vivo’s online shop and other offline retailers. No Amazon listing yet!

Ahead of its launch in India, we decided to check out everything there is to know about this upcoming affordable phone from Vivo. 

Vivo T4x 5G specifications: Good enough for gaming?

Vivo's teaser on social media handles reveals the design of the handset and unlike its predecessor, the T3x -- which had a circular camera layout at the back -- the T4x is seen with a fresh new rectangular layout. It now also gets a ring light inspired LED flashlight light at the back, as seen on multiple Vivo handsets in the past few years. Other than getting used as a flash fill light, this ring light could also be used for notifications when kept with its face downwards.

The phone will feature a twin-camera setup at the back and is expected to have a punch-hole camera at the front. The main rear camera is expected to be a 50-megapixel unit. The teaser image also shows an all-around plastic build, which is standard for a phone in the lower price range. 

One of the biggest highlights of the Vivo T3x was its big 6,000 mAh battery. If this was huge for you, the T4x is expected to have an even bigger 6,500 mAh cell! That's humongous, considering a power-efficient midrange MediaTek chip. This huge battery capacity should be useful for people who use their phones for long hours.

The performance duties are expected to be handled by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC. The Vivo T4x is also expected to come with a lot of built-in AI capabilities such as AI Eraser, AI Photo Enhance and AI Document Mode. As per leaks, the device is also expected to have unique features such as an IR Blaster and certification for military-grade durability. 

We do not have any confirmation about the pricing of the smartphone but it is expected to start under INR 15,000. Because the Vivo T3x currently retails for INR 12,499 for the base variant, hence, the expected pricing of the T4x makes sense.
