Trump Phone
Former U.S. President Donald Trump has expanded his business portfolio into mobile phone services with the launch of a new wireless carrier and smartphone. On June 16, the Trump family introduced Trump Mobile, a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO), and a new smartphone named the T1. The Trump Organization, which manages most of Trump’s business interests, confirmed that the T1 will be manufactured in the United States.
The T1 smartphone, priced at $499, is currently available for pre-order with a $100 deposit. Deliveries are expected to begin in August or September 2025. It features a gold finish, a triple-camera layout, and branding elements such as the T1 logo and a U.S. flag on the back.
In terms of specifications, the T1 includes:
- 12GB of RAM
- 256GB of expandable storage
- 5000mAh battery
- 3.5mm headphone jack
- 6.78-inch 120Hz OLED display
- Android 15 OS
- 50MP main camera, along with 2MP macro and depth sensors
(Notably, it lacks an ultrawide lens, and the chipset has not been disclosed.)
Trump Mobile is offering a single plan called “The 47 Plan”, which costs $47.45 per month. The service will work on existing smartphones and is supported by Liberty Mobile, an MVNO that uses T-Mobile’s network infrastructure. This model is similar to services like Mint Mobile and Metro.
This move follows the Trump family’s recent ventures into digital media and cryptocurrency. While Trump’s children are said to manage the Trump Organization, questions have been raised about possible conflicts of interest, especially since the business may fall under the regulatory scope of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
FCC Chair Brendan Carr, appointed during Trump’s previous term, may be involved in oversight. Carr is viewed as politically aligned with Trump and has contributed to Project 2025, a proposed roadmap for administrative goals, according to Reuters.
In a statement on Fox News, Eric Trump promoted the launch by saying, “Trump Mobile is going to revolutionize cellphones and mobile calling.”
With its gold-accented smartphone and uniquely branded mobile service, the Trump family’s latest venture marks another unconventional entry into the consumer tech space.
