Tecno is planning to launch a new smartphone from its Pova series in India, with leaks and teasers hinting at an imminent launch. The phone has now been officially dubbed the Tecno Pova Curve 5G, as leaked by Povalabs, a Pova smartphone users' Reddit community. The page also shows the side view of the device, giving a better glimpse of its overall build and design. This comes after a recent teaser video obtained exclusively by 91mobiles, which gives a glimpse of the rear camera setup and offers some design clues.
The teaser video reveals a unique triangular-shaped rear camera module with at least two camera sensors and an LED flash, all vertically stacked. This is a radical departure from the conventional layouts and closely resembles a teaser uploaded earlier in January 2025. There is also an orange accent area visible beneath the camera, which could be the power button position, perhaps on the right side of the phone.

The Pova Curve 5G appears to have a boxy, sharp-edged body with an emphasis on a clean look. The teaser includes the words "A portal to the supreme," implying that the marketing campaign of the brand will be built around an upscale experience. Also, the LED illumination on the camera module implies that Tecno could reinstate or change its RGB Arc Interface, seen earlier in phones like the Tecno Pova 5 Pro, Pova 3, and the Pova 6 Pro. The LED arrangement may glow during notification alerts like calls and messages.

Even as the exact details are not available yet, the current teaser campaign indicates that Tecno is about to release the phone officially in India. Including the word "Curve 5G" also ensures that the phone will come with 5G capabilities, something that is now a standard in mid-tier smartphones.
Meanwhile, Tecno has been working hard overseas, recently unveiling the Camon 40 series at MWC 2025, alongside the Watch GT 1, True 2 TWS earbuds, Megabook laptops, and a pair of AI glasses. The company also previewed the Spark Slim phone, which is notable for its slim 5.75mm thickness and massive 5,200mAh battery, demonstrating Tecno's continued growth in different product segments.
