For introduction, Samsung showcased the Alpha series (also called A-Series) in 2014. The first phone that came under that series was the Samsung Galaxy Alpha. After that, they started labelling the rest of the Alpha series phones with the letter 'A,' such as the A1, A2, A3, and so on.

This series targets mid-range Android users that offer semi-premium hardware, a decent main camera, and a budget processor.

Now, Samsung has launched the A55 and A35 in the market. The South Korean smartphone maker is using the tagline “No Shake Camera” to gain attention for OIS and new EIS technology. Speaking on camera, these new products now feature a 'Floating Camera Shutter Button.' This feature allows the user to duplicate the digital shutter button that can be dragged anywhere on the screen, at the user's convenience. It mostly helps those individuals who are left-handed.

In addition, the brand provides a glass back design and an IP68 water-resistant capability.

Now, let’s remove the curtains of these two products one by one:

Remember the old Samsung S21 Ultra with the Gorilla Glass Victus, which was retailed in the lakh price bracket? But now, times have changed. Recently, Xiaomi sold the Note 13 Pro Plus with the same glass material for Rs 30,999.

This time, Samsung has incorporated the same strategy. The Samsung A35 now boasts a Gorilla Glass Victus Plus protection; you may damage your ground but not your phone (pun intended).

Also, the main difference between Samsung’s M series and A series is the security level; Samsung is protecting the A35 with Samsung’s in-house built, Knox security.

The Samsung A35 has a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra wide-angle camera, and a 5MP macro camera for close-ups. As for the front side of the phone, it offers a 13MP selfie camera, which is embedded in the Infinity-O display

Now, it’s easy to shoot clear images in low-light conditions, thanks to the enhanced sensor. Further, in some situations, we shoot handheld videos, but we tend to face camera shakiness while shooting. This is not the case with the Samsung A35. For improved stability and steadiness, this phone is equipped with EIS and OIS.

As for the Samsung A55, which is positioned above the A35, boasts a long list of features. It is worth noting that the A55 carries forward the feature list of the A35, but also has a few more added offerings to set itself apart.

The Samsung A55 comes with a 6.6-inch FHD Super AMOLED display, a metal body, and Knox Vault features.

The processors play a very important role in handling software (OS and apps). Unlike the predecessors from the Samsung A-series, the A55 now comes with a 4nm chipset that reduces battery consumption. For instance, the Samsung A34 had a MediaTek Dimensity 1080, which was based on a 6nm chipset, which resulted in more battery consumption.

On the rear, it has a linear camera layout that consists of a 50 MP main camera, a 12 MP ultrawide angle, and a 5 MP macro camera, which looks identical to the A35. However, the A55's camera may offer a better quality than the A35's camera because of its extra technical offerings. In addition, the brand is claiming that the Samsung A55 has the ability to capture vivid photos even in low light conditions.

Unlike the A35's front camera; the Samsung A55 has a 32MP 4K front camera.
