Samsung has officially announced the global release date of its next premium smartphone, Galaxy S25 Edge, to be May 13, 2025. Putting an end to rumors that lasted months, the technology giant has made some major specifications, a global livestreaming schedule, and even hinted at an India release on the same day public.

First revealed back in February at Galaxy Unpacked, the Galaxy S25 Edge finds itself between the Galaxy S25+ and the S25 Ultra. The highlight is a 200MP primary rear camera, driven by Samsung's ISOCELL HP2 sensor, that takes smartphone photography to a whole new level. Joining it is a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, providing flexible shooting possibilities.

The Galaxy S25 Edge is confirmed to have a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals and rich colour reproduction. Powered under the hood is the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip, accompanied by 12GB RAM, and will be offered in 256GB and 512GB storage models.

Design-wise, the phone seeks to impress with its extremely thin design—said to be just 5.84mm thick (not counting the camera hump). The build features titanium finishes in hues such as Titanium Jet Black, Titanium Silver, and Titanium Icy Blue, indicating Samsung's attention to high-end looks. The phone is said to feature a 3900mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging, consistent with the standard Galaxy S25.

Samsung is charging the 256GB model at an estimated price of €1,249 (around ₹1,17,680 or $1385), which is slightly higher than the Galaxy S25+ and lower than the S25 Ultra. In the US, Samsung has already started pre-reservations with a $50 Samsung credit as an incentive.

The international launch event, titled "Galaxy S25 Edge: Beyond Slim," will be streamed live on May 13 at 9:00 AM KST (7:30 AM IST). Indian online marketplaces Flipkart and Amazon are also building hype for the phone with a 1 PM launch time, strongly indicating an India release at the same time.

With industry-leading hardware, flagship camera technology, and a new slim design, the Galaxy S25 Edge is looking like a potent new addition to Samsung's high-end smartphone family.
