Realme launched a new series of smartphones today in India. This series comprises two smartphones, Realme P1 5G and Realme P1 Pro 5G.
The Realme P1 will target budget smartphone buyers with a starting price of Rs 15,999 and the P1 Pro is priced a little higher with the starting price tag of Rs 21,999, positioning itself as a little premium budget device. There also are some bank offers that are worth up to Rs 2,000.
Realme P1 5G Specifications
Realme P1 5G boasts a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, FHD+ resolution and up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness. Powering this device is a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 processor, complemented by a 5,000mAh battery with 45W SUPERVOOC fast charging support. On the software side, the Realme P1 5G is running a Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14. On the rear, the device has a dual camera setup consisting of a 50MP Samsung JN1 sensor as primary and the other one is a 2MP secondary camera. There is a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies and video chats. The device also has an IP54 water and dust-resistant rating. There are two variants of this device- 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage and an optional 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM with 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
Realme P1 Pro Specifications
Realme P1 Pro comes equipped with a 6.67-inch curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, FHD+ resolution and 950 nits of peak brightness. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor and has 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Just like the P1 5G, it has a 50MP camera but the sensor here is different. Realme has given it a Sony LYT 600 primary sensor which should provide better results with an 8MP secondary ultrawide angle and a 2MP depth rear camera. The selfie shooter is the same as the P1 5G, rated at 16MP. This also has the Android 14-based Realme UI 5.0, an IP65 water and dust-resistant rating, and a 5,000mAh battery with 45W SUPERVOOC fast charging. There are two variants of this device- 8GB of DDR4X RAM with 128GB and an optional 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
Both the devices have an in-display fingerprint sensor, 7 layers Vapour Chamber cooling system, and stereo speakers. The brand has promised 2 years of OS updates and 3 years of security updates, making it similar to what other brands offer in this price bracket.
