OPPO India is all set to bring a rugged and stylish smartphone to the market on June 13, 2024. With its industry-first IP69, IP68 and IP66 dust and water resistance ratings and military-grade certification, this smartphone focuses heavily on build quality and looks. The device gets MIL-STD-810H, military-grade certification, making the device durable and drop resistant and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, protecting the display.
OPPO India has surveyed 6000 people, and 42% of them want their phones to be water-resistant for monsoon use, 30% of them want it to be waterproof so that they can easily take them to beaches and poolside, while 19% of them wanted the phone to tolerate accidental drops, and 9% wanted the screen to scratchproof from keys and coins. Hence the brand has tried to fit this phone on each parameter.
Let’s understand the IP rating protections that this device gets:
-
IP66: The highest level of protection against dust and regular water jets.
-
IP68: The highest level of protection against dust and water immersion up to 1.5m for 30 mins.
-
IP69: The highest level of protection against dust and high-pressure water jets at temperatures up to 80°C.
The phone boasts a chunky circular camera module at the back and has a vegan leather finish and two colour options, Midnight Navy and Dusk Pink. The smartphone is relatively thin at 7.89mm and weighs 177g, this combined with the curved back panel and 3D curved display should result in a very good in-hand feel while using this device.
The specifications of the OPPO F27 Pro+ are very similar to the OPPO A3 Pro, which was launched in China back in April with a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz curved OLED screen, Dimensity 7050 SoC, 64MP rear camera along with a 2MP depth sensor and a 5000mAh battery with 67W fast charging and more. We hope this smartphone to have similar specifications upon its official launch in India.
