Nothing is announcing its latest affordable phone, the CMF Phone 2 Pro, on April 28, but a new leak has already suggested likely India prices ahead of the announcement.

CMF Phone 2 Pro: Price in India (Leaked)

Tipster Yogesh Brar has said that the CMF Phone 2 Pro might start from a price point of around Rs 20,000 for the model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Another pricier model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage is also expected, which could cost a little above Rs 20,000. While the company hasn't publically announced these prices, the prices leaked do seem in line with Nothing's plan of offering affordable devices under the CMF brand.

Interestingly enough, Brar's X (Twitter) post was immediately taken down following its posting, which indicates the information is not far off from accuracy — though an official reveal is still to come.

CMF's Budget Strategy

Nothing first entered the premium market segment but later diversified into the mid-range and budget segments. Its CMF sub-brand also entered with the Rs 15,999-priced CMF Phone 1 with a view to offering feature-packed phones at a more affordable price. The "Pro" tag on the upcoming CMF Phone 2 Pro justifies the expected price hike.

CMF Phone 2 Pro: What We Know So Far

The CMF Phone 2 Pro will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chip, which offers up to 10% better CPU performance and 5% better graphics than its predecessor. It also comes with a next-generation NPU with a 4.8 TOPS (trillion operations per second) capability for more sophisticated AI operations.

The camera will come with a triple-lens setup:

  • 50MP primary sensor
  • 50MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom
  • 8MP ultra-wide lens with a 119.5-degree field of view

Gaming features include 120fps game support and a 1000Hz touch response rate for smooth interaction.

The standout feature is the new Essential Key, located alongside the power button. It opens "Essential Space", a space to store frequently accessed items like screenshots and voice notes. This space is AI-powered through "Smart Collections", which automatically categorizes media by content type for easy sorting.

It is unclear as yet if the Essential Key will also support rapid camera access like the Nothing Phone 3a, but teaser hints are toward shared features.
