Motorola has finally launched its highly anticipated mid-range smartphone, the Edge 50 Neo. This is the successor to last year’s Motorola Edge 40 Neo, a highly popular device in the sub-Rs 25,000 segment. The Edge 50 Neo comes with an attractive design and the brand promises to provide 5 years of OS upgrades which has never been seen before in this segment. Motorola Edge 50 Neo Specifications

The Edge 50 Neo has a vegan leather-finished back with Pantone-validated bright colour options like Nautica Blue, Latte, Grisaille, and Poinciana. The device has a plastic frame, MIL-810H military-grade certification, and an IP68 dust and water resistance rating to ensure durability. 

The device boasts a 6.4-inch LTPO P-OLED flat panel with 1.5K resolution, pixel density of 439ppi, high refresh rate of 120Hz, HDR 10+ certification, up to 3000 nits of peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The device also gets an under-display optical fingerprint scanner to take care of privacy and security.

The Edge 50 Neo has a triple rear camera setup of which the primary camera is a 50MP Sony LYT 700C sensor with OIS support, the secondary unit is a 13MP f/2.2 ultrawide lens and the third unit is a 10MP f/2.0 3X telephoto lens. The device also gets a 32MP f/2.4 front-facing camera to take care of selfies and video chats. 

The Motorola Edge 50 Neo is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset based on TSMC's 4nm fabrication. The chipset is equipped with Mali-G615 MC2 GPU to handle all the graphic-related duties. The device is running Android 14-based Hello UI and the brand promises to deliver 5 major OS and security updates to the phone, making it future-proof in terms of software. 

The device has 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFFS 2.2 storage and it draws its power from a 4310mAh cell which supports up to 68W of fast wired and 15W of wireless charging. The brand claims a 0 to 100% charging time of 40 minutes.

The Motorola Edge 50 Neo is available in India in a single storage configuration with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage at Rs 23,999. The phone is now available to purchase from Flipkart and if you are an HDFC Bank card user, you are eligible to get an additional 10 per cent discount.
