On Flipkart, Moto has listed the all-new Moto G04s with a 50MP unit, which is the first-in-segment camera and a Unisoc chipset. The current listed price is Rs 6,999. Lenovo-owned Motorola is the only brand that provides a clean Android experience in any price range, and this one also comes with stock Android 14.
Surprisingly, this one is not a ‘Go’ version. Android Go is a lighter version of full Android software, designed for light processors.
Let's take a look at the Moto G04s' offerings:
Build Quality and Sound: The design looks modern and attractive. Plastic makes up the chassis, and Gorilla Glass 3 protects the front. The phone is lightweight; it is 178 g and 7.99 mm slim. On the front, the phone has Dolby Atmos speakers for a better sound experience, and users will get the 3.5mm jack.
Display: Nowadays, smartphones are the main medium of communication. And, that's why brands focus on display size more than quality, especially in budget phones. The Moto G04s has a notch-less 6.6-inch punch-hole display with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate and high-definition resolution.
The Gorilla Glass 3 protects the display, which can withstand minor scratches and sudden drops from low heights.
Camera and Processor: This is the first in the 50MP rear camera segment; it supports HDR, quick focusing, and night mode. You can record FHD videos from the rear camera, and on the front, you get a 5MP camera for video calls and selfies. Motorola has used a Unisoc processor in this phone, which uses a T606 SOC.
Launched in 2021, this processor boasts 8 cores: the two primary Cortex-A75 cores clocked at 1600 MHz, while the remaining six Cortex-A55 cores operate at the same frequency as the former.
The processor is good for performing basic tasks and it is based on a 12nm architecture. The T606 has ARM Mali-G57 MP1 processor graphics. The basic version has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory. But, if you need more storage, the memory card's storage can be expanded up to 1TB.
Battery life and software: It has a 5000mAh standard battery life and a 15W charger. You can expect around 2.5 hours of charging and 7 hours of screen time. You will get Android 14. It's a complete stock Android with some in-house-made applications and gestures from Motorola, such as Moto and Device Help, to name a few.
