Motorola is following a trend with its number series. They always launch a Pro model, and after a few months, they introduce the Fusion version and the Ultra variant.

In April 2024, Motorola announced the Motorola Edge 50 Pro, a camera-centric smartphone with several AI features. The phone got a lot of attention because of its looks and AI integration. Now, Motorola has launched the Fusion version of the Edge 50 Pro, and this time the brand has faced tough competition in the Rs 20,000 bracket.

The latest Motorola Edge 50 Fusion comes with a curved display (a plastic OLED panel), a vegan leather finish, and a 50MP rear camera. This one is the direct competitor of the Nothing Phone 2a, the Mi Note 13 Pro, the Real Me 12 Pro, and the Infinix Note 40 series.

Top Features of Moto Edge 50 Fusion:

Display: The Moto Edge 50 Fusion has a 6.7-inch plastic-OLED curved display with an approximate 91.6% screen-to-body ratio. The panel comes with a 1080x2400 resolution. The company has installed 393 pixels per inch, so you can expect crisp details. Curve displays are easily breakable, so the brand has protected the screen with Gorilla Glass 5.

Build and Finish: The phone looks bulky. It is 6.37 inches tall and 2.88 inches broad, but the body is slim. It has an overall width of just 7.9 mm, which means you can hold the device easily.

The main differences between the Moto Edge 50 Pro and the budget model are that the Pro model comes with a metal frame, while the budget Fusion model comes with a plastic frame.

The phone is water-resistant with an IP68 rating and supports e-sim.

Performance, Software, and Battery: Moto has done cost-cutting here. It has a bigger battery, 500 mAh more than the pro version; it comes with a 5000 mAh battery, but doesn't have any wireless solutions; the phone comes with only a 68W wired charging solution.

The Fusion version features the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, a 4 nanometer-based processor with eight cores: four cores clocked at 2.4 GHz and an additional quad cores clocked at 1.95 GHz. These clock speeds are sufficient to handle games at average settings.

You get Android 14 out of the box, 2 years of software updates, and 3 years of security updates.

Camera and Video Optimisation:

It has two cameras on the rear; the main camera is 50 MP, features an f/1.9 aperture, and supports OIS. You can shoot up to 4K with this camera. The secondary ultrawide camera is 13 MP with a 120-degree field of view and has a f/2.2 aperture.

The front-facing camera is 32 MP and can shoot decent images and full-HD videos with the support of EIS.

Interested people can buy this smartphone for Rs 21,999, which is a decent price for a smartphone that has a 50 MP camera, an ultrawide camera, and the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3.
