Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, has launched its Meta Verified subscription for business owners. This is an enhanced version of the service launched in March 2023, which was meant for creators only.

As the name suggests, Meta Verified Business is designed for business owners who regularly advertise or sell their products on Facebook, Instagram, or WhatsApp. Here’s everything you need to know about Meta Verified Business and how you can get it.

Meta Verified Business Benefits

The main highlight of Meta Verified Business is the blue checkmark, which Meta states remains one of the primary reasons people subscribe to the service.

Meta Verified Business signifies that a brand has registered with Meta and is reliable. This gives consumers confidence in the brand's authenticity. The service also includes enhanced business support from Meta, allowing businesses to assign employees to a specific customer support chat.

Meta has begun rolling out the subscription model after testing it with a small set of businesses.

Meta Verified Business offers four subscription models: Business Standard, Business Plus, Business Premium, and Business Max. Currently, business owners can only apply for Meta Verified using iOS or Android apps. It is also mandatory to use a professional page for Instagram and a business page for Facebook to apply for Meta Verified.

Meta Verified Business Price in India

Meta Verified Business for a single app i.e. either Instagram, Facebook, or WhatsApp is priced at Rs 639. Business owners can also opt for a group app purchase at Rs 21,000 to receive Meta Verified benefits on all three apps. Note that these are introductory prices for two months.
