Indian phone maker Lava has launched an entry-level budget smartphone named Yuva 5G. This smartphone has good looks and also offers decent specifications for its price.

In the design department, the Yuva 5G has a shiny back panel design with a top-mounted circular camera module, featuring dual rear cameras, an AI badge, and an LED flashlight. At the bottom end of the back panel, the LAVA 5G branding can be seen. The device is 9.1mm thick and weighs 208 grams.

On the front, the device features a 6.5-inch 2.5D curved HD+ display with a 90hz refresh rate. The device also gets a 50MP main rear shooter and a 2MP depth sensor. At the front, the 8MP selfie camera is mounted in the punch-hole.

Handling the performance here is a Unisoc T750 processor, which is based on a 6nm manufacturing process for efficient operation and coupled with Mali-G57 MP2 GPU for graphic handling.
The device runs on Android 13, but the brand has promised to provide an Android 14 update and 2 years of quarterly security patches. It also has 4GB RAM and 64 or 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage which can be expanded up to one TB using a microSD card. In this day and age, the device thankfully houses triple slots for dual SIM and SD cards.
The LAVA Yuva 5G gets a 5000mAh cell for power supply which can be charged at 18 watts via the bottom USB-C port. The device also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm audio jack, and FM Radio.

The Lava Yuva 5G smartphone is available in two colour options, Mystic Green and Mystic Blue and is priced at Rs 9,499 for the 4GB and 64GB variant and Rs 9,999 for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The phone will go on sale on Amazon, Lava e-store, and Lava retail outlets from June 5, 2024.
