JioPhoneCall AI and JioCloud With 100GB Free Storage Announced at RIL AGM 2024

At the 47th Annual General Meeting of Reliance (RIL AGM), Mr. Mukesh Ambani, Chairman, Reliance Industries, introduced the ‘JioPhoneCall AI’. This feature promises to revolutionise the calling experience by recording, transcribing, and translating conversations with the help of AI. This is similar to what we have seen in Galaxy AI and Apple Intelligence. Ambani also announced JioCloud Welcome offer that gives users 100GB of free cloud data.

What is JioPhoneCall AI?

The JioPhonecall AI lets you use AI with every phone call. It is able to record all the calls and store them in the Jio Cloud safely and privately so that they are never lost and the users can access them remotely at any given time. Thanks to the integration of AI, the service can automatically transcribe all the voice recordings to the text and store them so that users can later review all the points. It also offers translation so that the information is easily shareable and understandable to all sorts of people without thinking about language barriers. 

How to Use JioPhoneCall AI?

Using the JioPhoneCall AI feature is very simple, users need to follow some simple steps:

1. Between any phone call dial the JioPhoneCall AI number (1-800-1732673) as a conference call.

2. Once the call is connected, users will hear a welcome message and they need to press 1 to start recording.

3. Once the conversation starts, AI will start automatic transcription and translation of all the recordings in the background.

4. To respect the privacy of everyone involved in the conversation, AI will make periodic announcements that the call is being recorded.

5. Users can pause the transcription at any time by pressing 2 and resume it by pressing 1, and to end the transcription they will have to press 3.
   

Jio Cloud Integration

All these recordings and transcripts will be safely stored in the Jio Cloud so that users can access them easily at any given time. Reliance Jio also announced 100GB of free cloud storage under the Jio Cloud Welcome offer. This 100GB storage can be used to store all sorts of files by the users starting Diwali 2025. More information about the plan is yet to be revealed.
