Meta Launches Generative AI Features For Advertisers

On Wednesday, Meta launched enhanced generative AI features for advertisers, such as full image and text generation. Their goal is to improve ad quality by creating better digital advertisements.

Generative AI: Image Generation

Now, users can create full images using this feature. If you have not shot your product's photo with a decent background, you can replace the background with better options. You can add effects to make your post more attractive and expand the frame of your product's photos to make them more appealing. Not only this, you can also use the “Text Overlays” feature to add more information to your post.

For instance, a coffee machine maker wants to post an advertisement on social media, but his photo is currently looking dull and unattractive. Using a text command prompt, you can add steam to the coffee machine. It can change multiple effects from the setting, including changes to the background leaf or carpet, and not only one effect; he can select multiple effects based on the creativity of that person.

In addition, businesses can apply text overlays to images and choose attractive font faces based on their needs.

If your photos are looking poorly framed or small, you have the ability to apply image expansion, which can also change the ratios of your posts so that you always post perfect-fit posts every time.

These features are available on reels, Instagram, and Facebook.

Generative AI: Text Generation

This feature allows businesses to generate a variety of headlines in addition to primary texts. Meta is the primary test of the AI feature's ability to generate text to represent brands' tone and voice. Meta will highlight the key selling points by analyzing the previous campaign and text input.

Meta Llama 3 will soon build this feature, bringing new capabilities to the next generation of Meta models.

For all AI features, there is one umbrella, 'Advantage+ Creative:

These features, as well as current meta features, will be available in Ads Manager through Advatage+ Creative. It will support businesses' entire advertising journey.

Today, Meta has updated several Meta Advantage products:

  • Advantage+ creative optimisation: It will optimise video ads for reels and Facebook feeds in a 19:6 ratio when using visual touch-ups.

  • Advantage+Catalog Ads: Meta will deliver product recommendations to users based on their interests. Advertisers can now import creative or customer demonstration videos instead of static images to make ads more interactive.

  • Advantage+ creative with Advantage+ catalogueue ads: Ad creators can now choose and upload a “hero” image or video in the centre of a catalogueue ad, and by using Meta AI, Meta will dynamically show people the best products from their catalogueue.

Marketers can use this tool by clicking Add Catalogue Items under Advant.
