Netflix Moments: More than just a screenshot feature

With Moments, you can essentially save your favourite scenes from web shows and movies and use it as a reference point in the future. Think of it as a bookmark – the only exception is that you bookmark your favourite scene instead of a book page. 

The feature is only available for subscribers accessing Netflix on their smartphones. The way to summon the Moments features is easy too – no dealing with pesky button-combinations.

How to use Netflix Moments?

- While watching a web show or movie, ensure that you hit pause on the exact frame you want to save in your Moments gallery. 

- Now look for the ‘Moments’ option on the far left side. 

- The app will ask whether you want to save this particular moment for future reference. Once you hit ‘Save’, that frame will be saved in the Moments gallery. 

- Now, when you head back to the Moments gallery and tap on this recorded moment, Netflix will start playing that show/movie from that very moment.

How to share Netflix Moments screenshots?

Users can also share these specific Moments on other apps like WhatsApp, X, Instagram, Facebook and whichever social media platform they wish to. Netflix will create a custom screenshot of the moment that’s fit for sharing on other social platforms without violating the DRM rights. The custom screenshot adds the Netflix logo along with the name and episode details of the show.  

Can you use Netflix Moments now?

At the moment, Netflix is releasing Moments gradually to its subscribers on iOS across the world. Over the coming weeks, Netflix will start releasing the Moments feature for subscribers on Android phones. There's no update on whether the feature will be released for subscribers on Windows, macOS and smart TV platforms.
