Infinix has launched its budget smartphones the Infinix Note 40 Pro and Infinix Note 40 Pro+ today in the Indian market. These devices were launched globally on March 19th, 2024 and have now made it to our shores.

Infinix Note 40 Series Pricing and Specifications

The Infinix 40 Pro is priced at Rs 21,999 and the Infinix 40 Pro+ is priced at Rs 24,999. However, there is a launch offer for HDFC and SBI credit card holders, as they can be eligible to receive a cashback discount of Rs 2,000.

Besides that, let's jump to the specifications department.

Both Infinix 40 Pro series devices have a 6.78-inch FHD+, 3D curved, AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1300nits of peak brightness. Both devices are IP53-rated. The devices are 8.09mm thick and weigh 190 grams each. There is also a Corning Gorilla Glass (GG5) protection for the screen.

These devices also have a 108MP main rear camera with OIS support for smooth video recording and better low-light images. There are two more cameras on the back, but they only have a 2MP resolution, which is not on par with other devices in this segment. The front-facing camera is a 32MP unit which should do the job of taking selfies and video chats. Further, devices can only record videos up to 2K 30fps resolution which again is not at par with its competitors that offer up to 4K 30fps video recording.

Both the devices are powered by Mediatek Deminsity 7020 chip and are running on XOS 14 built on Android 14. The Infinix 40 Pro is equipped with 8GB of DDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, whereas the Infinix 40 Pro+ has an additional 8GB RAM and the same storage. Another major difference is in the battery and charging departments. The Infinix 40 Pro has a larger 5,000mAh battery capacity with 45W fast wired and 20W wireless charging support. On the other hand, the Infinix 40Pro+ has a smaller 4600mAh battery capacity with 100W fast wired and 20W wireless charging support.

Some of the noteworthy highlights of the device include, JBL stereo speakers, Halo LED lights etc. The devices include all necessary basic sensors such as a gyroscope, in-display fingerprint, proximity sensor etc. There is support for dual nano SIM cards but the microSD card slot and 3.5mm headphone jack are nowhere to be found. Two years of Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates have been promised by the brand.

Magkit Ecosystem

Infinix has also developed a Magkit Ecosystem, we all know where the inspiration comes from. There are 3 MagKit accessories: a Magcase which is a leather-finished back cover with magnets on the back, a MagPower which is a wireless charging slim power bank with a 3020mAh battery capacity and a MagPad which is a 15W magnetically attachable wireless charger. This MagKit bundle costs Rs 4,999 but it's free for customers who buy the latest Infinix Note 40 series on the launch day.
