For starters, HTC is preparing to launch the successor of the HTC U23 Pro (debuted in mid-2023), the U24 Pro. For those unaware, the HTC U-series is the company's upper mid-range lineup, which was incepted in 2017, and from this series, they first introduced the U Play, alongside the U Ultra.

But, as we see the bandwagon of multi-camera setup on new-age smartphones, HTC has followed the same with the U24 Pro. The rear camera setup comprises a 50MP main camera, a 50MP telephoto, and an 8MP wide + depth rear camera. The front camera is rated at 50MP.

Besides that, the brand has already stopped operations in many countries, including India. However, the company mostly operates in European Union (EU) markets, and there the U24 Pro is priced at €564 (approx Rs 50,900). It is also worth mentioning that HTC hasn't made any official announcement on the India arrival.

But let's read on the specifications of the HTC U24 Pro.

Display & Battery

The HTC U24 Pro has a 6.8-inch 1080x2436 OLED display. It is a curved panel with Gorilla Glass protection. For smooth scrolling and navigation, it has the support of a 120Hz refresh rate. HTC has installed a 4600mAh battery to power this smartphone with 60W wired, 15W wireless, and 5W reverse wireless charging support.

Build Quality & Software

The smartphone boasts an aluminium frame and a plastic back panel, and to protect the phone against dust and water, HTC has provided an IP67 rating. It has a dual-SIM support and memory card support. Interestingly, HTC is bringing back a 3.5mm jack and a dual-colour LED notification light.

Performance

An Octa-core Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset based on 4nm architecture powers the HTC U24 Pro. It clocks the main core at 2.63 GHz, a quad-core at 2.4 GHz, three cores at 1.8 GHz, and the final core at 1.8 GHz. Thanks to the Adreno 720 unit and given chipset, the graphic-oriented tasks are expected to be handled seamlessly. The phone comes in two variants: 12GB RAM + 256GB storage and 12GB RAM + 512GB storage, both of which are UFS 3.1 storage types.

Camera

The HTC U24 Pro comes with a 50MP optically stabilized main camera with an f1.88 aperture, a 50MP 2X optical zoom camera, and another 8MP ultrawide camera. The front selfie camera is a 50 MP autofocus sharpshooter with an f/2.45 aperture. The rear can shoot 4K videos up to 30fps and the users can record Full HD videos from the front camera.

Availability

The Taiwan-based phone manufacturer HTC will launch the U24 Pro in the European Union (EU) countries. The introductory price of the HTC U24 Pro is also listed on the HTC website, but it will go on sale anytime soon. The company, however, hasn't divulged any plan to launch the phone in India.
