After a ton of rumours and leaks of GTA VI getting delayed, Take-Two Interactive has finally given an update about the game launch. According to Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, GTA VI will launch in the fall of 2025 i.e. August or September. According to them, the game's development is on track and will be released according to the pre-decided timeline.

There were rumours about the GTA VI launch getting delayed, but Take-Two Interactive recently stopped all these rumours by confirming that the GTA VI Fall 2025 release is on track. This came as a relief for all gaming enthusiasts across the globe because rumours of the official launch getting delayed till 2026 were nothing less than disheartening. The company made this announcement on August 9 amid a financial update session.
Take-Two Interactive's assurance has got all the fans excited about the launch because the GTA VI is supposed to be the most remarkable game launch ever. To remind you, GTA VI's first trailer broke all the records and became the most-viewed YouTube video and most-liked YouTube video within 24 hours.
The first trailer revealed GTA's first-ever female lead, Lucia that will be accompanied by a male character named Jason. Since then, the game's hype has just increased among gamers.
GTA VI is coming almost a decade after GTA V’s launch. This is the main reason for the fan’s excitement. The trailer highlighted that the game will feature crowded beaches, graffiti-filled street walls, and strip clubs, and it will also have some wildlife elements like alligators and flamingos. Most of the trailer's clip was inspired from real life incidents across USA.
GTA VI Supported Console
Take-Two has confirmed the console launch of the GTA VI. The GTA VI may launch exclusively on gaming consoles like Sony PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Sony is also rumoured to launch a PlayStation 5 Pro for GTA VI. The PC version of GTA VI may arrive a couple of years after the game launch.
Alongside GTA VI, Take Two Interactive has also updated about upcoming titles like Civilization VII, Judas, and WWE 2K2.
Since the launch is expected to take place in the fall of 2025, it is speculated that there might be a second trailer released by the end of 2024, revealing some other visuals of the game and building more hype.
