Google has listed the Pixel 8a on Flipkart for Rs. 52,999, but you can get it for Rs. 39,999 (with exchange offers and other benefits), and it is the most expensive and advanced ‘a’ series. The ‘a’ series debuted with the Pixel 3a in May 2019. Speaking of which, the Pixel 3a has seen its good times. We can expect good sales from the Pixel 8a, as well.

Recently, Google introduced AI in the Pixel 8 series, which includes the 8 Pro, 8 and the new 8a.

So, below are the offerings of the Google Pixel 8a:

The Pixel 8a features a 6.1-inch OLED Actua display with 1080x2400 resolution and 430 ppi pixel density. The display has a 120 Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and a better UI experience, which is a significant upgrade over the Pixel 7a's 90 Hz refresh rate.

The Pixel 7a was limited to the 128GB variant, but now the Pixel 8a is available with two types of storage- 128GB and 256GB, alongside a standard 8GB RAM.

The latest Pixel 8a comes with a Tensor G3 chipset, which we have already seen in the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro.

The specifications of the cameras look identical to the Pixel 7a on paper: the rear camera is 64 MP with an f/1.8 aperture, the 13 MP ultrawide camera, and the 13 MP front-facing camera.

The Google Pixel 8a has a 4492 mAh battery with 18W charging support; the phone also supports a 9W Qi wireless charger.

Further, this device has four colour options: Aloe, Bay, Obsidian, and Porcelain.

This is a compact phone with premium features. Samsung’s S24 is the direct competitor of the Pixel 8a; it uses a linear motor for haptic feedback, and the phone also comes with IP67 support.

Pixel devices are famous for their camera performance, and to maintain the legacy, Google has unlocked 4K 60fps recording from the rear camera. Thanks to the in-built AI features, you can select the best shots. The IT giant has taken a smart call to enable true-to-nature colour support in videos.

After Pixel 3a and 4a, Google has always provided robust build quality in the ‘a’ series. After the launch of Pixel 6a, Google has been incorporating a metal frame and a back glass.
