For the first time, Google introduced AI in the Pixel 8 Pro, and Samsung showcased AI power at the launch event of the S24 series. Both phones are based on Android; Samsung uses Samsung’s One UI based on the Android platform, and the Pixel runs on stock Android.

They are competing, which is true to some extent, but in a recent meeting, Samsung and Google decided to come together to refine the Android platform.

Before this meeting, they had already shared theCircle to Search’ feature, originally developed by Google. And, Samsung used this feature in the Samsung S24 series; later, they expanded it to other models.

It is good news for Android users that two IT giants are coming together to make a better platform, but let’s analyze the main differences (currently) between the AI features of Samsung and Google:

How are both products different?

When Google launched the Pixel 8 Pro, they showcased the 'Best Take' feature in the marketing campaign. This feature works even on group photos. If you want to capture a smiling photo of your group, but it's hard to smile for everyone, at the same time, Google creates a perfect picture by merging multiple images.

Another unique feature of Pixel 8 Pro was the Call Screen', where Google Assistant answers calls by avoiding spam calls.

Pixel phones can zoom photos beyond the original capabilities of hardwire with Zoom Photo features, which enhance the quality of the zoom.

The fact is that Google phones were the first AI smartphones, but Samsung has also done an impressive job. The Samsung series boasts several unique features.

Samsung phones offer Live translation that translates real-time phone conversation between two languages and Interpreter mode that translates face-to-face conversation. This feature is highly useful for those who visit different regions.

Imagine that if these two brands come together, they can make even better smartphones for users. They also have many common features, such as the Circle to Search feature, which allows you to search for any object, human, or place by simply drawing a circle on it.

'Generative AI' is another cool feature in both smartphones that allows you to show your creativity by adding or editing more objects in photos.

Both companies also use magic erasers to remove unwanted objects from photos.

Google is working on building an AI ecosystem; according to the report, Google may include a floating window and a live prompt feature. The brand disclosed everything at the launch of Android 15 on May 14, 2024.
