Tecno Phantom V Fold 2, Phantom V Flip 2 Officially Announced

Tecno has launched the second generation of its V Fold and V Flip foldable smartphones named Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 and Phantom V Flip 2 respectively. Tecno has currently launched both phones for the African market and they will be soon introduced to other countries including India. Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 Specifications

The Phantom V Fold 2 features a 7.85-inch 2K+ AMOLED foldable display and a 6.42-inch FHD+ AMOLED cover display, with no updates to the display from its predecessor. Tecno has equipped the device with a 5,700mAh battery that supports 70W fast charging and 15W wireless charging.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chipset, coupled with 12GB of RAM and an additional 12GB of virtual RAM, along with 512GB of internal storage. It will ship with Android 14 straight out of the box.

In the camera department, the Phantom V Fold 2 boasts five cameras: three on the rear, and one on both the cover and internal displays. The rear setup includes a 50MP primary lens, a 50MP portrait sensor, and a 50MP ultrawide camera, while both selfie cameras are 32MP sensors.

Tecno Phantom V Flip 2 Specifications

The Tecno Phantom V Flip 2 features a 6.9-inch FHD+ AMOLED LTPO foldable display with a 120Hz refresh rate, complemented by a 3.64-inch AMOLED cover display.

Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8020 SoC, the Flip 2 is equipped with 8GB of RAM plus an additional 8GB of virtual RAM, alongside 256GB of internal storage. The phone will come pre-installed with Android 14.

In terms of cameras, it boasts a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide camera on the rear, and a 32MP front-facing selfie shooter. Tecno has included a 4,720mAh battery, which supports 70W fast charging.

Tecno AI Features

Tecno has integrated the new Phantom V Fold 2 and Phantom V Flip 2 with its in-house AI suite, featuring the Google Gemini-powered Ella AI assistant for real-time answers. The phone also includes an AI summary feature that can summarise texts from PDFs and web pages, along with AI-based live translation, text proofreading, and support for AI-powered wallpapers. This AI suite enhances productivity and personalisation, making the phone a versatile tool for users.

Tecno has announced the pricing of Phantom V Fold 2 and Phantom V Flip 2 smartphones.
