Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 And Flip6 Launched in India

Samsung has launched a slew of products at its Galaxy Unpacked event in Paris, France. The brand launched the Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy Z Flip6, Galaxy Watch7, Galaxy Watch Ultra, Galaxy Buds3 Series, and Galaxy Ring. Except for the Galaxy Ring, the rest of the products have also been launched in India. The Galaxy Z Fold6 is now wider and longer than the Galaxy Z Fold5 whereas the Fold6 remains similar to Fold5.

Galaxy Z Fold6 Specifications

The Galaxy Z Fold6 comes with minor upgrades over the Galaxy Z Fold5. The device is now lighter, and thinner, and offers a new aspect ratio. It is 5.6 mm thin when unfolded and 12.1 mm thin when folded. It is IP48 dust and water-resistant and directly competes with the Vivo X Fold3 Pro.

The Galaxy Z Fold6 boasts a 6.3-inch, dynamic AMOLED 2X cover display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 10MP cover selfie camera. The main inner display flaunts a 7.6-inch QXGA+  dynamic AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 4MP under-display camera.

It is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy SoC, based on a 4nm architecture. The chipset is paired with 12GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. It runs OneUI 6.1.1 based on Android 14. The highlight of the device is its Galaxy AI features. 

The smartphone boasts a versatile triple camera setup on its back, a 50 MP optically stabilised main camera with an f1.8 aperture, a 10 MP telephoto setup, and an additional 12 MP ultrawide camera with a 120-degree field of view. The camera setup is identical to the Galaxy S24. 

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 has a battery capacity of 4400mAh, which is similar to that of the Z Fold 5, and supports 25W wired and 15W wireless charging.

Galaxy Z Flip6 Specifications

The all-new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 features a 6.6-inch FHD+ main AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate whereas the cover display is a 3.4-inch HD+ AMOLED with 60Hz refresh rate. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC powers the Galaxy Z Flip 6, combining 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. The smartphone runs on Android 14-based One UI 6.1 and is IP48-rated.

This device has a dual camera on the rear, a 50MP optically stabilised main camera with an f1.8 aperture and a 12MP ultra wide-angle camera. The inner display has a punch-hole cutout for a 10 MP selfie camera. 
Samsung has upgraded the battery capacity on this model by 300mAh over the Galaxy Z Flip5. The Galaxy Z Flip6 features a 4000 mAh battery, supported by 25W wired and 15W wireless charging. The device comes with a ton of Galaxy AI features.
