Oppo is all set to introduce its new Reno12 series in India on July 12. The series consists of two phones - Reno12 5G and Reno12 Pro 5G, and also marks the debut of OPPO AI in India. The Reno12 Series brings several OPPO AI features to the mid-range segment. The new series features the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy chipset, triple rear cameras, 5G connectivity, an AMOLED display, and AI features. OPPO Reno12 Series Specifications
The OPPO Reno12 Series specifications are out as the phones have already launched globally. The phones have a boxy design with curved edges, and triple rear cameras arranged in a rectangular array with a rectangular LED light.
The Reno12 5G will be available in two colours, Sunset Gold and Space Brown whereas the Pro model will be available in three colours, Sunset Peach, Matte Brown and Astro Silver.
Both Reno12 and Reno12 Pro boast a 6.7-inch FHD+ curved AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support and 1200 nits of peak brightness. The bezels are 1.69mm thin and have a 93.5% screen-to-body ratio.
Both smartphones are powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Energy chipset based on a 4nm architecture. The chipset will also support several AI features on the Reno12 Series including AI performance, AI Clear Face, AI Writer, AI Recording Summary, and AI Eraser 2.0. These devices are confirmed to run Android 14-based ColorOS 14.1 out of the box. They pack a large 5000mAh battery with 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging support.
Both devices feature a 50MP Sony LYT-600 main sensor with OIS support and a 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide-angle camera. The Pro model has an additional 50MP Samsung JN5 telephoto sensor whereas the vanilla Reno12 comes with a 2MP macro lens. On the front, the Reno12 Pro has a 50MP sensor whereas the Reno12 has a 32MP sensor for selfies and video calls.
OPPO Reno12 Series Expected Price
The OPPO Reno12 series is already available to purchase in China. The Reno12 and Reno12 Pro start at Chinese Yuan 2,699 (around Rs 31,000) and Chinese Yuan 3,399 (around Rs 39,044) respectively. Keeping these prices in mind, we speculate that the OPPO Reno12 will launch in India at around Rs 34,999 and the Reno12 Pro at Rs 44,999.
