Insta360 X4: Everything You Need to Know

Insta360 is a well-known Chinese brand for manufacturing in-house action cameras, specifically targeting content creators. Most 360-degree cameras come with 2 lenses; each lens records a separate 180-degree video, and with the help of software, it combines the footage and turns it into full 360-degree video.

The major problem with the Insta360 X4's predecessor was its resolution. The Insta360 X3 used to shoot in 5.7K format with an expansion up to 6K, but the clarity wasn't as expected, especially after cropping or using action mode.

Users expected that Insta360 would provide a better solution in the X3 version, but after the launch of the X4, the customers will surely stick to that perception with the latest version. Additionally, the new X4 has impressive offerings over the previous generation. The new version with an upgraded chipset is capable of shooting videos in 8K format. 
Another major change the brand has made to the new product is the new 5nm chipset and the low power consumption chip for a long-lasting battery. 
GoPro is a direct competitor of Insta360, but the former has only one product for 360-degree videos- the GoPro Max.
