HONOR Pad X8a Kids Edition Launched in India With Family Link Feature

HONOR has launched the HONOR Pad X8a Kids Edition in India. The special Kids Edition tablet is pre-installed with Family Link, allowing parents to monitor their children's activities. This tablet is designed with parenting in mind, recognising the importance of digital gadgets for children's education while addressing the privacy concerns often associated with standard tablets.

The tablet features an 11-inch display with screen time analysis, enabling parents to set usage limits and manage apps for their children. Here is everything you need to know about it. 

HONOR Pad X8a Kids Edition Specifications

The HONOR Pad X8a is claimed to boast a shockproof design and includes a silicone case made from food-grade silicone. The tablet is available in a vibrant Sky Blue Kids colour and includes a stand to hold it at a specific angle. It is equipped with a 5MP rear camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, one microphone, and four speakers.

The device features an 11-inch Full HD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, eye protection, a resolution of 1920 x 1080, and a peak brightness of 400 nits. The screen supports a digital pencil, allowing children to use the HONOR Note for drawing and writing like real pencils. It also supports multitasking and multi-window features.

The HONOR Pad X8a is powered by an 8,300mAh battery, which the brand claims can provide 14 hours of cartoon playback and 56 days of ultra-long standby time. The device runs on a 2.4GHz Snapdragon 695 processor, paired with 4GB of RAM, and is available in two internal storage options: 64GB or 128GB. It operates on Magic OS 8.0, based on Android 14.

Kids Features

For parents and kids, the HONOR Pad X8a Kids Edition includes Google Kids Space, interactive games, and e-learning courses. The Family Link feature allows parents to control the tablet's usability in various ways, enabling them to manage content and screen time. Additionally, HONOR Notes supports the Doodle Pen, designed for drawing, writing, or note-taking.
