CMF By Nothing Launches Nothing Phone 2 Pro In India Alongside Buds 2, Buds 2 Plus, and Buds 2a: Pricing, Specifications

CMF, a sub-brand of the London-based tech company Nothing, has announced the launch of four new products: the CMF Phone 2 Pro, Buds 2, Buds 2 Plus, and Buds 2a.

The announcement comes as Nothing continues its rapid growth in India. According to Counterpoint Research's Q1 2025 India Smartphone Shipment report, Nothing recorded a 156% year-on-year growth, maintaining its position as India's fastest-growing smartphone brand for the fifth consecutive quarter. This achievement reportedly makes Nothing the only brand in the past decade to sustain such momentum in India.

CMF Phone 2 Pro Specifications

The CMF Phone 2 Pro is positioned as an everyday smartphone with a three-camera setup, a bright display, and a lightweight design. It measures 7.8 mm thick and weighs 185 g, making it 5% thinner than the previous CMF Phone 1. The device includes an aluminum camera surround, stainless steel screws, and an IP54 water resistance rating, slightly better than its predecessor's IP52 rating.

The phone is available in four colors: White, Black, Orange, and Light Green. The Black and Light Green variants feature a glass-like back texture with a metallic frame, while the White variant has a sandstone finish. The Orange option has a metallic sheen for a bolder appearance.

On the hardware front, the CMF Phone 2 Pro includes a 50 MP main camera that captures 64% more light than the previous generation, a 50 MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom and up to 20x digital zoom, and an 8 MP ultra-wide camera. A 16 MP front-facing camera is also included.

The phone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro 5G processor, built using TSMC’s 4 nm process, offering slightly improved processing (10%) and graphics performance (5%) compared to CMF Phone 1. It houses a 5000 mAh battery, estimated to last nearly one hour longer than the previous model.

The display is a 6.77-inch FHD+ flexible AMOLED panel supporting 1.07 billion colours and a peak brightness of 3000 nits. It supports a 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate and a 1000 Hz touch sampling rate. The Phone 2 Pro also retains modularity, with accessories like a Universal Cover, Interchangeable Lenses (Fisheye and Macro), and a Wallet/Stand.

CMF Audio Products

CMF’s new Buds lineup aims to cater to a wide range of users across different price points. The CMF Buds 2 are designed for everyday listeners, offering a balance of features and performance. They come equipped with 48dB hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), Dirac Opteo™ tuning for clearer sound optimisation, and Spatial Audio Effects to enhance the overall listening experience.

For users seeking more advanced features, the CMF Buds 2 Plus provide an upgraded audio experience. These earbuds support Hi-Res LDAC audio for higher-quality wireless sound, include hearing compensation to tailor audio output to individual hearing profiles, and allow full equaliser (EQ) customisation. This makes the Buds 2 Plus a suitable choice for those who want a more personalised and refined listening experience.

At the entry level, CMF introduces the Buds 2a, focusing on delivering essential features at a more affordable price point. The Buds 2a offer 42dB ANC, helping to block out background noise effectively, and feature a 12.4 mm bio-fiber driver for clear sound with deep bass. Their lightweight design ensures comfortable, all-day use without compromising on basic performance.

Pricing and Availability

CMF Phone 2 Pro will be available in two variants:

• 8+128 GB at INR 17,999 (with bank or exchange offers)
• 8+256 GB at INR 19,999

A special launch day price (May 5) reduces costs to INR 16,999 and INR 18,999, respectively.

Buyers will also get an INR 1,000 exchange bonus and an INR 1,000 bank discount.

CMF Buds 2a will retail for INR 2,199, Buds 2 for INR 2,699, and Buds 2 Plus for INR 3,299.

The Phone 2 Pro will be available through Flipkart, Flipkart Minutes, Vijay Sales, Croma, and other retail stores starting May 5, 2025.

The new CMF Buds will be available in India by the end of Q2 2025, with accessories for the CMF Phone 2 Pro launching soon.
