Apple is likely to launch the iPhone 16 series in September this year. People mostly show interest towards new iPhones because they want to experience new technology or they expect that Apple will reduce the price of old iPhones.

However, let's know more about the expected/confirmed details about the upcoming iPhone 16.

Lineup

Apple is planning to keep four devices in the iPhone 16 series: the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. The display size of the Pro and Pro Max is expected to increase a bit; the iPhone 16 will be 6.3 inches, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max will be 6.9 inches. These are 0.2 inches more than the current-generation iPhones. The new devices are expected to weigh 184 grams and are approximately 8.25 mm thick.

Performance and Apple AI Features

Apple plans to utilize new A-series chipsets for its Pro models, based on the N3E three-nanometer architecture. Apple plans to rival Samsung and Google by incorporating new AI features into the iPhone 16 series. For those unaware, Apple's WWDC event will take place from June 10 to 14, and provide fresh updates on artificial intelligence (AI). It is also anticipated that some AI features will be offered on the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Other Highlights

Currently, high-resolution cameras are in style. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 14 Pro are equipped with high-resolution cameras. However, Apple may now draw inspiration from new-age high-end Android phones; leading to the possibility of a 48MP ultra-wide-angle camera in the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. In addition, it may benefit from the Sony IMX903 sensor.

As for the battery, the standard variant of the iPhone 16 is expected to be powered by 3355mAh, while the Pro variant is expected to be powered by a 4676mAh battery. Just like the current iPhone 15 Pro models equipped with the 'Capture' button, the iPhone 16 Pro is also expected to have the same feature for capturing images and videos with one click.

Following the release of the iPhone 16, there could be a 15% price reduction for the standard iPhone 15 models and a potential 12% price reduction for the iPhone 15 Pro series.
