Alcatel V3
French technology company Alcatel has introduced its new V3 series of smartphones in India, a big leap ahead with the NXTPAPER display technology driven by TCL. Unveiled on May 27, 2025, the series consists of three handsets—V3 Ultra, V3 Pro, and V3 Classic—each designed to address multiple user requirements as well as price segments. The phones will hit the sales market from June 2 exclusively on Flipkart, accompanied by special launch offers.
First Phones in India with NXTPAPER Display
The V3 series is India's first to sport Alcatel's patented NXTPAPER display technology. Alcatel's NXTPAPER display technology aims to minimize eye fatigue and increase readability, providing a 4-in-1 display mode with Regular, Ink Paper, Colour Paper, and Max Ink modes. The configuration presents a distinctive viewing experience that simulates the appearance and feel of paper with rich color output.
Speaking on the launch, Ansh Rathi, COO of Nxtcell India, stressed Alcatel's adherence to the "Made in India" plan. "By localizing our manufacturing operations, we wish to increase supply chain efficiency and provide quality technology that suits Indian consumers," he remarked.
Pricing and Availability
The Alcatel V3 series is affordably priced to suit a broad spectrum of users. The high-end V3 Ultra costs ₹19,999, the mid-range V3 Pro is priced at ₹17,999, while the budget-friendly V3 Classic stands at ₹12,999. All three smartphones go on sale from June 2, 2025, and will be up for grabs exclusively through Flipkart, where consumers can also avail special launch offers for a limited time.
V3 Ultra: Top Performance and Style
The top-of-the-line V3 Ultra features a huge 6.8-inch NXTPAPER screen with dynamic light adjustment, providing the best brightness and color temperature regardless of surroundings. It has a precise stylus for note-taking and creative work, combined with a high-quality case featuring a stylus holder. Colors are available in Hyper Blue, Champagne Gold, and Ocean Grey.
Camera on the V3 Ultra is driven by a three-camera rear setup with a 108 MP primary sensor, 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and 2 MP macro lens. A 32 MP selfie camera with inbuilt filters improves selfie image quality. The phone also has Horizon Lock to record ultra-smooth videos and offers eSIM support.
V3 Pro and V3 Classic: Mid-Range Devices Packed with Features
Both V3 Classic and V3 Pro feature NXTPAPER displays and support up to 18 GB RAM via dynamic RAM expansion (10GB virtual). A high-capacity 5,200 mAh battery provides a standby time of up to 26 days. Storage can be expanded up to 2TB, which provides the user with ample space for media and applications.
The V3 Pro comes in Metallic Grey and Matcha Green shades, whereas the V3 Classic retains most of the same features in a less expensive build.
Alcatel's V3 lineup brings together display technology friendly to the eyes, robust insides, and consideration design—all at affordable prices geared for the Indian customer.
