Alcatel has confirmed the upcoming launch of its V3 smartphone series in India, featuring its NXTPAPER display technology. Teased on Flipkart ahead of the official release on May 27, the V3 series will be the first in the country to use this full-colour electronic paper display.

The NXTPAPER display is designed to offer a paper-like viewing experience while maintaining colour output. It is intended to reduce eye strain and remain usable across varying lighting conditions.

What is NXTPAPER Technology?

The display supports four different modes: Regular Mode for general use, Max Ink Mode with up to 168 hours of usage, Ink Paper Mode for reading, and another Regular Mode variant. A dedicated NXTPAPER Key will allow users to switch between these modes quickly.

The V3 series will also include a triple-camera setup. The main camera is a 108MP UltraPixel sensor, supported by an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro camera. The camera system is aimed at covering a range of everyday photography needs, from wide-angle group shots to close-up detail.

Alcatel has also revealed the box contents for the V3 series. Each unit will come with a stylus, a case that includes a holder for the stylus, and a fast charger. This package is positioned to support basic productivity and note-taking functions without the need for separate accessories.

The NXTPAPER display and bundled accessories suggest that Alcatel is targeting users who prioritise screen readability and multi-purpose device usage. The phone’s appearance on Flipkart confirms that it will be available online following the official launch.

The V3 series is scheduled to launch in India on May 27, 2025.
