Samsung Galaxy Watch FE Launched With Round AMOLED Display

Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy Watch FE that brings most of the Galaxy Watch features to budget segment. Samsung Fan Edition (FE) is for those who wants to be a part of Samsung ecocsystem at an affordable price and the Galaxy Watch FE is latest addition of that. The Galaxy Watch FE is priced at $199, making it one of the cheapest smartwatches with Wear OS support. The smartwatch shares most of its specifications with the Galaxy Watch 4.

Build, Display and Performance:

The Galaxy Watch FE features a 1.2-inch round AMOLED display with 396x396 resolution, Always on display, and sapphire glass protection. It is the same screen size as that of Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic. The watch features a 40mm aluminim case and comes in four colour options - Black, Pink Gold, and Silver. It is powered by a dual-core Exynos W920 chipset and runs on OneUI 5 Watch based on WearOS. It boasts 5ATM + IP68 protection and a MIL-STD-810H rating for durability. It has 1.5GB of RAM to run tasks, and ships with 16GB of internal memory to save songs and applications.

Health Tracking Features:

The Galaxy Watch FE features most of the essential health tracking sensors, including Samsung's latest BioActive Sensor, from other premium Galaxy smartwatches. The smartwatch offers users advanced sleep features, including the ability to measure your sleep chart and provide sleep coaching after analysing the data. Furthermore, it includes Heart rate alert, which detects high and low heart rates by monitoring blood pressure and ECG. It packs more than 100 preset workout modes. It also has Samsung Wallet that enable users to access digital wallets and save important documents such as ID cards.

The Watch FE comes with a 247mAh battery with wireless charging support. Its connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi, GPS, GLONASS, NFC, Galileo, and Beidou, and e-sim (LTE). The watch is 9.8mm slim and 26.6 grams heavy. 

Galaxy Watch FE Price:

The Samsung Galaxy Watch FE Bluetooth version will be available on June 24, however, it is unknown when it will be available in India. It is priced at $199, we will update the India price as soon as it is revealed. Samsung is also expected to launch a LTE version of Galaxy Watch FE later this year.
