The Oppo Reno 15 series is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated smartphone launches of next year. According to leaks on Weibo, Oppo’s next-generation lineup will succeed the Oppo Reno 14 5G and Reno 14 Pro 5G, and might even introduce a brand-new compact model with a smaller screen. The series is expected to debut in the second half of 2025, and early reports point to big improvements in cameras, battery life, and colour reproduction over the current Reno 14 series.

Three Display Sizes in the Works

Well-known tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed that Oppo could be preparing three different display sizes for the Oppo Reno 15 series. The standard Reno 15 may feature a 6.3-inch display, while the Reno 15 Pro could come with a larger 6.78-inch touchscreen. Interestingly, a third version with a 6.59-inch screen has also been mentioned.

The tipster claims Oppo initially planned only the compact and Pro models but later decided to add the 6.59-inch display variant. Although Oppo has not shared official details, the lineup is expected to launch first in China.

Possible Launch Timeline

Some reports suggest the Oppo Reno 15 and Reno 15 Pro could arrive as early as November 2025. In line with leaks, the standard version is expected to be a compact model with a 6.3-inch display, while the Pro variant might feature a 6.8-inch panel.

Camera and Battery Improvements

The Oppo Reno 15 series is rumoured to come with advanced imaging capabilities, promising sharper photos, better low-light results, and improved colour reproduction compared to the Oppo Reno 14 5G and Reno 14 Pro 5G. Alongside the upgraded cameras, the phones are also tipped to include bigger batteries, addressing a key demand from users.

How It Compares to the Reno 14 Series

For reference, the Oppo Reno 14 5G featured a 6.59-inch 1.5K flat OLED display powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 SoC, while the Reno 14 Pro 5G offered a 6.83-inch 1.5K flat OLED display with the more powerful Dimensity 8450 chip. Both models carried a triple rear camera setup, with the standard variant packing a 6,000mAh battery and the Pro model offering a slightly larger 6,200mAh battery.
