Motorola looks set to follow up its Moto G86 Power 5G, which hit the Indian market in July, with a brand-new successor. Reports suggest that the upcoming model—possibly called the Moto G67 Power 5G or Moto G87 Power 5G—has already surfaced on a popular benchmarking site, hinting at an official launch in the near future.
The listing has given us a sneak peek at some of the phone’s key specifications, including its processor, memory, and software.
What We Know About the New Model
According to Geekbench data, the upcoming device scored 1,022 points in single-core tests and 2,917 in multi-core performance. Under the hood, it is expected to feature the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. This processor combines four performance cores clocked at 2.4GHz, four efficiency cores at 1.96GHz, and comes paired with an Adreno 710 GPU.
The phone is also listed with 8GB of RAM and will likely ship with Android 15 out of the box, running Motorola’s Hello UI skin.
A Quick Look Back at the Moto G86 Power 5G
For reference, the Moto G86 Power 5G was launched in India at ₹17,999 for the single 8GB + 128GB version. It stands out for its design as well, being offered in Cosmic Sky, Golden Cypress, and Pantone-certified Spellbound colors, complete with a vegan leather finish.
The device runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chip, paired with expandable 128GB storage (up to 1TB). Its 6.7-inch Super HD AMOLED display offers a buttery-smooth 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and an impressive 4,500 nits of peak brightness. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i.
On the camera front, the phone is equipped with a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide shooter with macro capabilities, and a 32MP selfie camera.
But what really sets the G86 apart is its durability and battery life. It packs a massive 6,720mAh battery with 33W TurboPower fast charging, plus IP68/IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, and MIL-STD-810H certification for toughness. Other highlights include dual stereo speakers with Dolby Audio, an in-display fingerprint sensor, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and USB-C support.
What to Expect Next
If the leaks hold true, Motorola’s upcoming Power series phone could be a solid upgrade over the G86—this time moving to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon platform. While official details like launch timeline and pricing are yet to be revealed, the Geekbench appearance suggests we might not have to wait too long.
