Indian smartphone brand Lava is gearing up to launch its next big device, the Lava Agni 4, in November. While the company hasn’t revealed the exact launch date yet, the phone has already been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification website, hinting that the debut is just around the corner.
This new model will succeed last year’s Lava Agni 3 and is shaping up to be one of the brand’s most ambitious launches yet.
BIS Listing and Teasers
The Lava Agni 4 5G recently appeared on the BIS database under the model number LXX525, reportedly added on September 15. This confirms the phone’s arrival in India next month.
Although Lava has not officially detailed its full specs, the company did tease the phone earlier this month in a sleek black finish with a pill-shaped, horizontally aligned camera module on the back.
Lava Agni 4 5G: Expected Specs
If leaks are to be believed, the Lava Agni 4 could be powered by the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset, paired with UFS 4.0 storage, and a massive 7,000mAh battery — far larger than most phones in this price segment.
The handset is expected to sport a 6.78-inch full-HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals. On the camera front, rumors suggest a dual 50MP rear camera setup. Details about the selfie camera and software version are still under wraps.
Expected Price in India
The Lava Agni 4 is rumored to launch at around ₹25,000, placing it in the competitive upper mid-range segment.
Looking Back: Lava Agni 3
The Agni 4 will replace the Lava Agni 3, which launched in India in October last year at ₹20,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant. That model featured a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, Dimensity 7300X processor, and a 5,000mAh battery with 66W charging. It even offered a unique 1.74-inch AMOLED touch display on the rear, along with a triple camera setup led by a 50MP main sensor.
What to Expect
With a bigger battery, upgraded chipset, and refreshed design, the Lava Agni 4 5G could help the homegrown brand strengthen its foothold in the Indian smartphone market. More details, including the exact launch date and confirmed specifications, should arrive in the coming weeks.
