Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has officially completed 25 years of operations in India, and the brand has celebrated this major milestone in style by launching two brand-new motorcycles: the CB125 Hornet and the Shine 100 DX. Both bikes are built keeping Indian customers in mind — practical, stylish, and loaded with features that reflect Honda’s journey from solid reliability to smart innovation.
Bookings for both models will officially open from 1st August 2025. With this launch, Honda has kick-started what it’s calling the “Generation Honda” era — a vision that aims to set the brand up for continued dominance in the Indian two-wheeler space.
“Ride Your Rizz” with Honda CB125 Hornet
Let’s talk about the one that’s clearly aimed at Gen-Z — the all-new Honda CB125 Hornet. Built for urban riders who want a mix of style, speed, and tech, the bike screams premium from every angle.
It gets a bold streetfighter look with twin LED headlamps, DRLs, high-mounted indicators, and a sharp tank design. The golden USD front forks not only add aesthetic value but also bring in segment-first bragging rights. Add to that a split seat, multi-spoke alloy wheels, and tank-mounted ignition key, and the Hornet feels premium in every detail.
Feature-wise, it’s seriously loaded. You get a 4.2-inch TFT display with Bluetooth support, turn-by-turn navigation, music and call alerts via the Honda RoadSync app, and even a USB Type-C port. For safety, there’s an engine stop switch, side-stand engine inhibitor, and single-channel ABS.
Under the tank is a 123.94cc fuel-injected engine, producing 8.2 kW @ 7500 rpm and 11.2 Nm @ 6000 rpm, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. It hits 0-60 km/h in just 5.4 seconds, making it the fastest in its class. With a weight of just 124 kg, the bike offers excellent handling for tight urban traffic or quick weekend getaways.
It rides on wide tubeless tyres (80/100 front and 110/80 rear), with a 240mm front disc and 130mm rear drum, giving you both stopping power and comfort.

Shine 100 DX: “Solid Hai” for Daily Riders
If the CB125 Hornet is the stylish head-turner, the Shine 100 DX is the no-nonsense, daily companion that just works — every single day.
Honda has given it a subtle yet refreshed look with a new headlamp, chrome touches, and a wide, sculpted fuel tank. The graphics on the side panels look sharp, and the long seat ensures maximum comfort for both rider and pillion.
What’s impressive is the new LCD digital cluster. It shows real-time mileage, distance-to-empty, and service reminders — useful stuff for commuters. It also gets a side-stand engine cut-off, which adds another layer of safety.
Powering the Shine 100 DX is a 98.98cc fuel-injected engine that produces 5.43 kW @ 7500 rpm and 8.04 Nm @ 5000 rpm. It’s paired with a 4-speed gearbox and supported by Honda’s eSP (Enhanced Smart Power) technology, which ensures smooth performance and great mileage.
The ride is comfortable too, thanks to telescopic front forks and 5-step adjustable rear shocks. It gets drum brakes on both wheels and Honda’s Combined Braking System (CBS). With 17-inch tubeless tyres and a 168 mm ground clearance, the Shine 100 DX is ready for Indian roads — potholes, bumps, and all.

In its 25th year in India, Honda hasn’t just looked back — it’s clearly looking forward. The CB125 Hornet targets the stylish, tech-first youth, while the Shine 100 DX sticks to Honda’s roots — reliability, practicality, and value.
With these launches, Honda is reinforcing what it’s always done best — building bikes that not only meet expectations but often exceed them.
