The Japanese automobile manufacturer Yamaha is working on the new generation of Yamaha Tenere 700, as it was spotted testing in Europe. The test mule was heavily wrapped but some parts were visible. Unlike its previous generation, the upcoming Yamaha Tenere 700 will have a revised headlamp with new air intakes beneath it.

Let’s delve into all the possible features of the upcoming 700cc bike from Yamaha.

Yamaha Tenere 700: Expected Offerings

This Japanese 700cc adventure will be the new generation of the existing Yamaha Tenere 700, and it is expected to have an all-new linkage-type suspension at the rear, but with unchanged front suspension. With this revamped suspension setup, the upcoming iteration is expected to offer more progression and better wheel travel.

Moreover, several reports indicate that the engine will be untouched. No upgrade or tweak is expected. Powering the current generation of the Yamaha Tenere 700 is the 689-cc, parallel-twin, CP2 petrol burner, which has a liquid-cooling system.

This engine is tuned to pump 73bhp of peak power and 68Nm of peak torque. This engine house is currently accompanied by a six-speed transmission.

On the features front, the upcoming Yamaha bike is expected to boast a 5.0-inch TFT display and Yamaha’s Y-Connect telematics. Last, but not least, it is also expected to have ABS modes and a quick shifter.

Yamaha Tenere 700: Availability

Several reliable reports suggest that the new generation Yamaha Tenere 700 is expected to go on sale in 2025 in the international markets. However, it remains to be seen if Yamaha India will bring this 700cc ADV to our country.

But, if this bike comes, it will lock horns with the Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE, KTM 890 Adventure, and Honda Transalp XL750.
