Mahindra has been selling the XUV300 as is since its inception in 2019. The car has received a few minor changes over the years, therefore, a major facelift was long overdue. But, now we have some exciting news. Mahindra is finally bringing the XUV 300 facelift. Along with all the exterior and interior changes, the indigenous brand has renamed the vehicle from 'XUV300 to 'XUV3XO'. The official global reveal is on April 29, 2024. Until then, let’s look at the offerings of the Mahindra XUV3X0.

Design, Build & Features

The XUV3XO has a heavily refreshed design. Its new exterior design includes a new front grille, new headlights, newly shaped DRLs, new alloy wheels, and a new rear design with a full-width connected tail lamp. The core of the car, however, remains unchanged. The interior too will get a major overhaul. Features like a new bigger touchscreen infotainment system, and ventilated front seats with leather upholstery are teased by the brand. We can also expect a wireless charger and dual-zone automatic climate control AC in the new XUV3XO.

Safety Features

The car is expected to come with all the necessary safety features like seven airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, ISOFIX child-seat mounts, ABS, EBD, ESP, and more for a safe driving experience. The previous iteration was 5-star rated by Global NCAP and since the underpinnings of the car remain unchanged, we expect this new Mahindra XUV3XO to be equally safe.

Performance

The engine and transmission options are expected to be more or less the same as the current car. The 1.5-litre diesel, 1.2-litre turbo petrol, and 1.2-litre TGDI engine will be on offer with a 6-speed manual transmission and an optional 6-speed automatic transmission. Further, we might get to see an electric version of the car in the future.

Pricing and Availability

Since the XUV 3XO (formerly called XUV300) has undergone heavy tweaks, the vehicle will command a premium over the Mahindra XUV300 (pre-facelift). The XUV300 starts from Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base variant.

Let’s wait for the official reveal which will take place on April 29, 2024, for variant-wise pricing. So, stay tuned to Hardwire for further updates.
