The Indian electric automobile manufacturer recently took the wraps off of the world's first fully autonomous electric two-wheeler, called Ola Solo. The indigenous company was seen testing the Level-4 ADAS technology on the S1 series.
The details of the Ola Solo were revealed via a YouTube video, uploaded by Ola Electric, on April Fools’ Day. Initially, viewers conceived it as a prank, but the founder and CEO of Ola Electric, Bhavish Aggarwal, later clarified that it was a prototype. In fact, the CEO also showcased his innovative product on his personal X (formerly Twitter) handle.

We announced Ola Solo yesterday. It went viral and many people debated whether it’s real or an April fools joke!
While the video was meant to provide a laugh to people, the technology behind it is something we’ve been working on and have… pic.twitter.com/4AUEqtPBGW
Ola Solo: Features and Innovations
The Ola Solo is a test mule to test QUICKIE.AI software, powered by an LMAO 9000 chip for self-ridden technology. As mentioned above, it is still a prototype but it seems, it will take years to get into the market.
Besides that, the AI-powered LMAO 9000 chip is indigenously developed and analyzes real-time traffic data for navigation.

Another innovative feature offered on this self-ridden prototype is the ‘Vishram’ feature, enabled by Electrosnooze Quantum, which allows this world’s first Indian self-ridden scooter to find the nearest charging station for battery replenishment.
Ola Electric also boasts of having an in-house developed adaptive algorithm, the JU-Guard, which enhances the autonomous capabilities by analyzing riding style and obstacles to become more user-friendly.
As per the information, this Ola scooter will also feature a ‘Human mode.’ This mode enables the scooter to interact with human counterparts.
Conclusion
Ola Electric depicts a paradigm shift towards future mobility, as far as technology and autonomous vehicles are concerned. Besides that, it is great to see an Indian automobile manufacturer representing a significant leap. However, the Ola Solo self-ridden vehicle still needs more research and development, alongside approval before it comes to the masses.
