Slashed Prices: Volkswagen Taigun's Prices Slashed up to Rs 1.10 Lakh

The Volkswagen Taigun received a price slash of up to Rs 1.10 lakh. Both 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre versions received it. This is a limited-period benefit.

Volkswagen India recently came up with a limited-period offer. That said, selected variants of the Volkswagen Taigun have received a price cut up to Rs 1.10 lakh. After slashing the prices, Taigun’s price now starts at Rs 11 lakh and goes up to Rs 18.90 lakh for the top-most variant. Both are ex-showroom figures. 

Prospects who are looking to buy a premium, feature-loaded SUV with impressive drivability and practicality can consider the Volkswagen Taigun. As mentioned above, only selected variants of the SUV have received slashed prices. As for the 1.0-litre engine, only Comfortline has received a price slash, and so have several variants of the 1.5-litre version. 

The variants from the 1.5-litre version include GT Plus Chrome DSG, GT+ Chrome DSG with new features, GT+ DSG Carbon Steel Grey (Matte), GT+ DSG Carbon Steel Grey (Matte) with new features, GT+ DSG Deep Black Pearl, and GT+ DSG Deep Black Pearl with new features. 

Volkswagen Taigun: Specifications

The Volkswagen Taigun is available with a 1.0-litre and a 1.5-litre engine. Both are turbocharged petrol units, referred to as TSI by Volkswagen. The former turbo-petrol unit produces 113.98bhp at 5000rpm and 178Nm of torque at 1750rpm. While, the 1.5-litre unit produces 147.51bhp at 5000rpm and 250Nm of torque at 1600rpm. Both engines offer manual and automatic transmissions. 

Volkswagen Taigun: Features

This MQB-A0-IN-based SUV hosts all the new-age necessary features. The Taigun comprises an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, a single-pane sunroof, front-powered seats, cruise control, and footwell lighting. Further, it has front ventilated seats (cooling function only), auto HVAC, auto high-beam, rain-sensing wipers (front and rear), a wireless charger, Type-C USB ports, six airbags, traction control, 60:40 split seats, and rear parking camera with sensors, to name a few. 

Volkswagen Taigun: Market Positioning

This made-in-India Volkswagen car competes with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Toyota Hyryder, Honda Elevate, MG Astor, Citroen C3 Aircross, and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. With these direct rivals, the Volkswagen Taigun is also competitvely priced.
