Vespa has launched a special edition scooter, Vespa 946 Dragon, in India, carrying an ex-showroom price of Rs 14,27,999. This scooter has been launched to pay homage to the Lunar New Year in Hong Kong.
Vespa 946 Dragon: Build & Design
Vespa has launched this scooter as a collector's item limited only to 1888 units, however, it is not clear how many of these 1888 have been brought for sale in India. The scooter’s highlighting factor is its unique golden colourway with an emerald green dragon graphic which starts from its front apron and extends to the side panel.
Vespa 946 Dragon: Performance
The scooter has the same specifications as the standard Vespa 946. That said, it has a 155cc engine, which is housed by a steel monocoque frame. The Suspension duties are handled by a single-arm shock absorber at the front and a preload adjustable single shock absorber at the rear.
The Vespa runs on 12-inch wheels, which are equipped with 220mm disc brakes on both ends for effective braking, and has a dual-channel ABS for safer stopping.
Vespa 946 Dragon: Availability
Interested buyers can book Vespa’s most expensive scooter in India at the Motoplex dealership or via Vespa India’s official website. The buyers of this scooter will also get a complimentary limited edition Vespa Dragon Varsity jacket.
The scooter will be brought into the Indian market via the CBU route. This scooter has been launched only for enthusiasts and collectors; thereby, limiting the mass-market audience.
