As part of the homage to India’s 78th Independence Day, TVS has introduced a limited-run edition of the iQube EV scooter in India. It is called the TVS iQube Celebration Edition and it’s offered in two variants - iQube 3.4kWh and iQube S.

The TVS iQube Celebration Edition will be limited to 1000 units for each variant, and the top variant has only subtle cosmetic differences over the standard variant. The base and top-spec variants are priced at Rs 1.20 lakh and 1.29 lakh, respectively. These are ex-showroom figures.

It is worth noting that the deliveries of this special edition will commence on August 26, 2024.

Overview

The TVS iQube Celebration Edition incorporates a dual-tone colour scheme of copper and black. In addition, there is a special-edition badge on the front apron and a tricolour decal on the left side of the visor.

Those are the only distinctive offerings, but the features and mechanical offerings are the same as the standard iQube.

As for mechanical, this Special Edition continues to be powered by a 3.4kWh battery pack, which transfers 6bhp and 33Nm of torque to the wheels via an electric motor. This setup allows the scooter to sprint from 0-100km/h in just 4.2 seconds and it has a top speed of 78km/h. Moreover, the company claims that the battery can deliver a total range of 100km on a single charge.

This vehicle has a 650W battery charger, which can replenish the battery pack from 0-80% in 4 hours and 30 minutes.

It continues to stand on telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. The braking duty is taken care of by a 220mm front disc brake and a 130mm rear drum brake. It has a tyre section 90/90 on either end, which wraps a 12-inch wheel.

In terms of features, this 2024 special edition iQube continues to have two ride modes: Economy and Power. It also has a mobile connect technology through which the in-built 5-inch TFT display shows relevant information, such as OTA updates, turn-by-turn navigation, call/SMS alerts, range left, and so on. For added convenience, this homegrown electric scooter boasts park assist, USB port, crash and fall, live vehicle status, anti-theft alerts, etc.

Rivals

The TVS iQube continues to stack up with the Hero Vida V1, Ather Rizta, Bajaj Chetak, Ola S1 Pro, and the Ampere Nexus.
