For starters, it is worth mentioning that Triumph India has been taking bookings for the Daytona 660 since July 2024. In addition to that, this bike is scheduled to launch on August 29, 2024.

The Daytona 660 is the third iteration to be added to Triumph’s 660cc India-bound lineup.

A Glimpse

Powering the Triumph Daytona 660 is a 660cc three-cylinder (inline) engine, which is tuned to release 95bhp at 11,250rpm and 69Nm of peak torque at 8250rpm, making it 14hp more and 5Nm higher than its adventure (ADV) and naked versions. Having said that, this 660cc power plant also powers the Tiger Sport and Trident bikes.

However, the Daytona 660’s engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox, supported by a torque-assist clutch.

Keeping the engine aside, the Triumph Daytona 660 is equipped with a Showa-sourced USD fork and a Showa mono-shock with pre-load adjustment at the front and rear, respectively. Moving on, this 660cc Triumph bike has dual 310mm discs at the front and a 220mm single disc at the rear.

Moreover, this bike also has traction- and power-related modes, including the Rain, Road, and Sport. The power figures will be slightly on the lower side in the Rain mode, whereas the peak power output will be observed in the Sport mode.

This fully-faired Triumph bike also has a bi-directional quick shifter as standard.

It has a fuel tank capacity of 14 litres, plus this bike’s wet weight is rated at 201kg.

Features on-board include twin LED lamps up front, split seats, and an underbody exhaust.

For added convenience, the Triumph Daytona also has Bluetooth connectivity, which allows the rider to use navigation, pick or hang up calls, and check the upcoming service(s). It can also be used to track the live speed, RPMs, live and last-parked locations, and vehicle status, among others.

Availability

As mentioned above, Triumph India already started taking bookings for the Daytona 660 since July 2024. Interested customers will have to pay a token amount of Rs 25,000 to reserve this bike.

Once launched in India, this bike will take the likes of the Aprilia RS 660, Kawasaki Ninja 650, Honda CBR650R, and Suzuki GSX-8R, among others.
