Tata Motors has introduced a variant to its hatchback offering, called the Tata Altroz Racer. It will directly rival the Hyundai i20 N-Line. For reference, the standard version of the Altroz has a starting price of Rs 6.65 lakh and goes up to Rs 10.80 lakh.
In parallel, the Tata Altroz Racer’s price starts at Rs 9.49 lakh and goes up to Rs 10.99 lakh.

Tata Altroz Racer: Specifications
The Tata Altroz Racer is based on the same ALFA-ARC platform as the standard version. Powering the sportier version of the Altroz is the Nexon-borrowed 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine, which produces 118.35bhp at 5500rpm and 170Nm of torque between 1750-4000rpm.
The power is delivered to the front wheels via a standard six-speed manual transmission.
Tata Altroz Racer: Features
The Tata Altroz Racer has a long list of features as this hatchback is equipped with front ventilated seats, auto HVAC, a 12V accessory port, cruise control, keyless entry, USB ports (front), engine start/stop button, etc. This vehicle also has a single-pane sunroof (which supports voice command), a digital instrument cluster, a leatherette upholstery, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit.
It also has LED lights at the front and rear, automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers, a 360-degree camera, six airbags, and a rear camera with guidelines.
Tata Altroz Racer: Pricing
As mentioned earlier, the sportier version of the Altroz is positioned above its standard counterpart. The Tata Altroz Racer’s price starts at Rs 9.49 lakh for the base variant, the R1 Petrol MT, and goes up to Rs 10.99 lakh for the top variant, the R3 Petrol MT.
It directly rivals the Hyundai i20 N-Line which has a starting price of Rs 10 lakh and goes up to Rs 12.52 lakh.
