Tata Motors is all set to launch the sporty version of their premium hatchback, named Tata Altroz Racer. The vehicle has been coming up in leaks and rumours since the launch is expected soon. It made its debut at the Auto Expo 2023 and then it also made an appearance at the Bharat Mobility Expo earlier this year.

Tata Altroz Racer: Design, Expected Performance, Features and Pricing

The vehicle has once again been caught testing on public roads and the image reveals a very similar design to the car showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo. The car boasts a dual-tone paint scheme consisting of an Orange colour on the body with a black roof, bonnet, and ORVMs. It also gets twin chunky white stripes across the car to add an extra sporty element. The leaked image suggests that this car might be equipped with diamond-cut alloy wheels and a slightly redesigned grille.

Just like the normal Tata Altroz, this Racer edition is also powered by the same 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine but it produces 120hp and 170Nm which is 10hp and 30Nm higher than the standard car. This powerhouse will most likely be coupled with a 6-speed manual transmission.

The new Altroz Racer is expected to have features like segment-first ventilated front seats, a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a 360-degree camera, a heads-up display, automatic wipers and more when it launches officially. Safety features of the car will include 6 airbags as standard, ABS, EBD, ESP and more. Since the standard Altroz is five-star rated by GNCAP for safety, we expect this car to be equally good.

The Altroz Racer is expected to make its debut in June this year. Pricing details of the car remain undisclosed. However, looking at the standard Altroz pricing (Rs 6.6-10.8 lakh ex-showroom) we can expect this to start at a little premium. The car will face heat from the i20 N-line when it launches officially.
