The 709g truck is built on the ladder-frame chassis to offer seamless capabilities and has a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of 7300kg. In parallel, the load body measures 4349mm in length (14.3ft), 2117mm in width (6.94ft), and 575mm in height (1.88ft). More so, the Tata 709g truck has adequate ground clearance for Indian roads, rated at 216mm.

Powering this vehicle is a BS6-compliant CNG-based engine, having a displacement capacity of 3.8 litres with an output of 83bhp at 2500rpm and 285Nm of peak torque between 1200-1600rpm. This engine powers the wheels via a standard five-speed manual transmission. 

Apart from that, this vehicle stands on semi-elliptical leaf spring suspension with two hydraulic double-acting telescopic shock absorbers at the front and only semi-elliptical leaf springs at the rear. The latter has only that type of setup for a strong threshold, as far as the capacity is concerned, whereas, the former has that type of setup to provide more comfort. 

For a better driving experience and convenience, the Tata 709g LPT has a 13.5-metre minimum turning radius. With this rated turning radius, the driver can drive on narrow roads (like hills) without having any complaints.

Tata Motors has priced this vehicle at a starting price of Rs 14.26 lakh for the base model, the 709g LPT 3800/HD/16ft (GVW of 7490kg), and goes up to Rs 15.73 lakh for the top model, the 709g LPT 3800/HD (GVW of 7300kg). These are ex-showroom prices, as of May 2024. Prices are subject to change without prior notice.
