After showcasing it at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024, Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched their latest adventure bike, the V-Strom 800DE in the country. It replaces the V-Strom 650XT in the brand's big bike lineup and sits below the mighty Hayabusa and Katana in terms of pricing and performance.

Suzuki V-Strom 800DE Specifications and Pricing

The bike gets a newly developed liquid-cooled 776cc parallel twin mill which produces 84.3hp and 78Nm and it is coupled with a 6-speed gearbox and gets a bidirectional quick shifter as standard.

The bike rolls on 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke rims which disappointingly are wrapped in tube tyres, whereas its predecessor, the V-Strom 650XT had tubeless spoke rims. Except for this downgrade, the bike gets twin 310mm discs at the front, a 260mm rear disc brake, and dual-channel ABS support.

The suspension duties on the V-Strom 800DE are handled by Showa upside-down front forks with 220mm of travel and at the rear, it has Showa mono-shock with 220mm travel. The bike has a ground clearance of 220mm, a seat height of 855mm, and a kerb weight of 232kg.

Some noteworthy features of the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE include a 5-inch TFT dash, a 3-step height-adjustable windscreen, a whopping 20-litre fuel tank capacity, four riding modes, a traction control system, and all LED lights.

Suzuki has launched this bike at an introductory price tag of Rs 10.3lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). At this price, it goes up against the other ADVs like the Triumph Tiger 900, Honda Transalp 750, and BMW F850GS, etc and it is priced lower than all its competitors making this a value-for-money offering.
